ABOUT
Emma Li is an artist born in Wuhan, China, and currently based in Providence, RI, where she is pursuing a BFA in Illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design.
Rooted in painting, her practice extends into drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and animation, tracing connections across media and forms. Her work considers intimate relationships with the natural world through the love, vulnerability, and innocence of girlhood. Through surreal imagery, she brings seemingly distant worlds together, exploring how life, time, and space intertwine with memory and imagination.
